, for the cover of the novel by Piers Anthony - one of 103 covers he produced for Bastei-Verlag's science fiction imprint, this one published 1972.  Painted in gouache on board, 8.25" x 9.25", signed bottom right, and matted to 10" x 13" (matte partially covers the image).  Comes with cover proof. True to Anthony's crazy story of a dentist whose effort to minister to a group of aliens goes horribly awry....this is one of those rare humorous illustrations that works!!!   L
