    Antique Texas Souvenir Spoon - Mr. Potter of Texas (Ship)
    This nineteenth century silverplate souvenir spoon has "Mr. Potter of Texas" on the handle and a large ship featured in the bowl. The spoon ties in with a novel "My Potter of Texas" by Archibald Gunter written in 1888. A ship features prominently in the novel. The spoon was made by the Meriden Silver Company (see last picture) and is 5 7/8 inches long. It is in excellent condition. This is a most unusual Texas spoon.
