Antique 1917 World War 1 British Military Broad Arrow Binoculars & Leather Case

Description

This is an antique 1917 World War 1 British Broad Arrow pair of binoculars with its original leather case.
Both the binoculars and the case are marked in various areas.
The binoculars are marked on the top where you look in, with an arrow and on the other side 4C, I believe. They are marked on the two extending pieces. On the left side is the British Broad Arrow with H* beneath it. On the right side is MKV.SPL with the numbers 73255 below that.
The case is marked on top H* and W. SWART 1917 below that. It has the number 125 written in on the front at the top and the British Broad Arrow engraved on the front near the bottom. There might be something else on the front which I can’t quite make out to the right of the buckle.
I don’t know much about binoculars but I do see that the strap is missing from the binoculars themselves. The strap on the case is torn, but it looks like one end is missing.

The binoculars weigh just under 1 pound 4 ounces (560 g). The case weighs 1 pound 2 1/2 ounces (522 g).
